Children’s Books

Picture books for ages 5-8

Debbie Weiss writes playful, story first picture books for children ages 5 to 8 that celebrate curiosity, connection, imagination, and shared play.

Her work centers on curiosity, connection, and the joy of shared play.

She is currently seeking representation for her debut picture book, The Day the Colors Disappeared, a magical story about a girl named Ruby who discovers that color returns to the world through small acts of kindness, courage, friendship, and heart.

Her stories are designed to feel warm, fun, and engaging first, while gently reflecting themes that matter to both children and the grownups who read with them.

Debbie is a member of SCBWI.
